An average golfer spends three to four hours in an 18-hole game. Given the amount of time they spend on this activity, it is important for them to feel that their time has been well-spent. Serious players and beginners alike should find suitable golf courses that are suitable for their specific needs and comfort. There are many things to consider including:

The Ability to Pay

Golfing has become so popular that a number of golfing courses that opened up grew dramatically over the past decade. The membership for certain golf courses are more expensive compared to others. The English Golf Union estimates that it has 1,800 affiliated golf courses, you can research these facilities based on your capability to pay.

Book the Time of your Choosing

Facilities can basically fall into three categories including private clubs, propriety clubs, and municipal courses. It is difficult to get accepted into private clubs and even when you’re in; booking available time during weekends is next to impossible. Consider which facility is the best for you based on this consideration.

The Weather

The environmental factor is another aspect you need to look into. A lot of golf clubs are constructed on moorland and parkland but there are also links courses (between sea and arable land). Try to join a club where you don’t need to fight the weather to win.
